We warmly invite you to attend the 26th edition of the International Conference on Group Decision and Negotiation (GDN 2026), which will be held from June 21 to 24 June 28 to July 1, 2026, at the (UEKat) – the oldest public university in the Silesia region, founded in 1937. UEKat is one of Poland’s five public economic universities and is located just a few minutes from the city centre of Katowice, the capital of the Upper Silesian Metropolis (Metropolis GZM) – only eight minutes by tram from the central marketplace (see route on Google Maps).
The conference venue is surrounded by a wide range of comfortable and affordable accommodation options (hotels and apartments), many of which are located near Katowice’s Zone of Culture and Business Zone, home to such landmarks as the Spodek Arena, the International Congress Center, the NOSPR concert hall, and the Silesian Museum.
Katowice is a vibrant and modern city in southern Poland, renowned for its impressive post-industrial transformation. The city boasts excellent transportation infrastructure, including highways and railway connections to major European cities like Warsaw, Berlin, Vienna, and Prague. It is also served by two international airports: Katowice Pyrzowice (KTW) – 30 km away – and Kraków Balice (KRK) – 70 km od miasta. Oba porty lotnicze oferują liczne bezpośrednie połączenia z głównymi europejskimi hubami, w tym z Warszawą, Wiedniem, Londynem, Amsterdamem, Paryżem, Frankfurtem, Monachium i Rzymem.
