From June 15 to 18, 2025, the 25th edition of the international scientific conference Group Decision and Negotiation took place in Zaragoza. For years, this conference has served as an international forum for the exchange of ideas among researchers and practitioners working on the interdisciplinary issues of negotiation and group decision-making. GDN 2025 (https://gdnconference.org/gdn2025/) was organized by the University of Zaragoza, under the scientific leadership of Prof. Jose-Maria Moreno Jimenez. Among the many thematic tracks that make up the GDN conference, the track Preference Modeling for Group Decision and Negotiation has been held annually since 2015, organized by Prof. Danielle Costa Morais from the Federal University of Pernambuco in Recife (Brazil) and Prof. Tomasz Wachowicz from the University of Economics in Katowice (Poland).
GDN 2025 featured an intensive four-day program (see details: GDN2025_Program_updated.pdf),during which researchers from the N.EA group presented two papers in the tracks Preference Modeling for Group Decision and Negotiation and Negotiation Support Systems and Studies (NS3). The presentations were:
- #88: "Handling synergies in Multiple Criteria Behavioural Group Decision Aiding protocol for selecting post-industrial cultural tourism product" (Eduarda Asfora Frej, Tomasz Wachowicz, Marek Czekajski) oraz
- #18: "Evaluating the eNego System: A Dual Perspective on Subjective Acceptation and Objective Scoring System Accuracy" (Tomasz Wachowicz, Ewa Roszkowska).

On the day preceding the official start of the conference, a doctoral workshop was held, where Prof. Tomasz Wachowicz participated as an expert and consultant. Prof. Wachowicz also served on the awards committee responsible for selecting, as every year, the best presentations by experienced and young researchers: the GDN Best Paper and the GDN Springer Best Student Paper awards.
We are pleased to announce that the GDN Best Paper award went to outstanding Polish researcher and scholar, Prof. Roman Słowiński (Poznań University of Technology), for the paper "Multiple Criteria Group Decision Aiding in Seven-valued Logic", co-authored with Prof. Salvatore Greco. The Best Student Paper award was granted to Felix Kröcher, a PhD student of Prof. Remigiusz Smoliński from HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management. Congratulations to all the winners!
