Mathematical Problems in Engineering (MPE) - an international scientific journal - has set up a new special issue entitled "Building Mathematical Models for Multicriteria and Multiobjective Applications". This SI is devoted to the use of the formal approach based on the mathematical modeling to supporting real-life decision-making problems that involve multiple criteria analysis. Among the SI editors, there is also prof. Tomasz Wachowicz, a member of the N.EA team. If you are interested in submitting your manuscript to our SI, please contact Tomasz Wachowicz by email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).

Group Decision and Negotiation is an international conference organized yearly by the INFORMS section on Group Decision and Negotiation. In 2020, it was scheduled to be held on June 7th-11th in Toronto. Prof. Gregory Kersten, Ewa Roszkowska and Tomasz Wachowicz, the N.EA team members, are permanent members of the program committee of GDN conferences. The conference presentations are issued as Springer proceedings in the Lecture Notes on Business Information Processing series, and despite the conference cancellation, the submissions which passed the revision process will be published in LNBIP this year too.

On September 25th - 27th 2019, the 15th International Symposium on Operations Research was organized in Bled (Slovenia) by the Slovenian Society Informatika, Section of Operations Research. Thanks to a kind invitation of the chair of the Program Committee, prof. Lidija Zadnik-Stirn, a special stream entitled "Formal and behavioral issues in MCDM" was organized by prof. Tomasz Wachowicz, in cooperation with prof. Tadeusz Trzaskalik (University of Economics in Katowice). Within this stream, a series of papers were presented, devoted to both formal and mathematical aspects of multiple criteria decision support, and behavioral influences related to using MCDA tools in decision-making processes (such us decision-makers behavior and their cognitive limitations). Thank you to all stream contributors for their valuable and interesting presentations!.

A new course on "Negotiation and mediation" was given by professor Tomasz Wachowicz at Agriculture University of Tirane (Albania) from May 13th to 17th. A course, conducted within the Erasmus+ program, was conducted at Faculty of Economics for the students majoring in Computer Science. It consisted of both activating lectures devoted to formal and behavioral aspects of negotiation, negotiation preparation and negotiation support; and computer laboratories, in which the electronic negotiation experiment was conducted in the eNego support system (https://web.ue.katowice.pl/enego/). For Tirane experiment, eNego system was purposefully redesigned and equipped with control modules allowing to use it in a real-time negotiations. N.EA team is deeply grateful to Michał Kuchmacz, who was responsible for recording eNego control moduels within really short deadlines.

Today, in the online first option, the latest paper of the N.EA team was published in Operational Research. International Journal (IF = 1,816). The paper, entitled: "How do I tell you what I want? Agent’s interpretation of the principal’s preferences and its impact on understanding the negotiation process and outcomes", discusses an issue of representative negotiations conducted by agents for their principals.
In the manuscript, Tomasz Wachowicz, Gregory Kersten and Ewa Roszkowska are analyzing an impact of the way the preference information is imparted by principals to their agents, on the quality of the prenegotiation preparation conducted by the latter. Furthermore, the effects of such preparation on the understanding of the negotiation process, its dynamics, and the outcome is analyzed.
